Tool?

“What?!? Mechanics as a tool?” I thought Mechanics used tools.
“So, you can use your mechanical ability as a tool to help spread the gospel to unreached, foreign national, business men that run auto stores who wouldn't be willing to listen to an evangelist,” said our Kenya Unit Leader.  Wow, so we will get the privilege of helping missionaries conquer their vehicle problems AND use the parts purchasing portion to establish credibility and friendship in order to  ultimately share the gospel to this unreached group.  Okay! Mechanics AS a tool!
She continued, “We think a good leave-date would be in July so you can be there with the team.”  “Team?”  “Yeah, you guys will be part of a team.”  Great, ... wait did she say July?  “What year?” I asked.  “2013.”  Wow! I guess we really need to get folks praying.
Then the fears come. “Us? Dirt-on-our-jeans people reaching 'high class' business people?  Can we be ready by July?  Can we do this?”  But, we remember scripture is quite clear that in our selves we are nothing but in God's hand we can triumph.  Huh. Mechanics as God's tool. Cool.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath beforehand ordained, that we should walk in them.”

How exciting! I'll be praying for your guys as you work through the million and one things that go with heading to the mission field, and I look forward to getting to spend a little bit of time with you in the Spring! Ha, maybe now I'll finally have a good enough excuse to go visit Kenya!

STEVE and ANGIE ~ Your post and photographs are adorable! The July "what year?" question is hilarious!

You two know as well as anyone what JESUS said:
"With people it is impossible, but not with GOD; for all things are possible with God.” [Mark 10:27]

I can't wait to see how GOD answers our prayers!!!
Love to you both, your family, and your dear Kenya Team!
